Delete – TV Mini Series Review
I had the opportunity to watch Delete, a short 2 part TV Series, which I thought would be good as it stars two actors that I like. Seth Green and Ryan Robbins.
I have to say that I was not disappointed with my decision to watch it as the storyline was quite intriguing and the acting was good.
The plot of Delete has been done before but it was done well with this Mini Series and that made for a watchable flick.
The world is threatened by an internet program that has become self aware and is intent on destroying mankind. Three unlikely people, Jessica Taylor (Erin Karpluk), an investigative newspaper reporter, teams up with Daniel Garson (Keir Gilchrist) a teenage computer whiz and FBI Agent Harless (Ryan Robbins) in an attempt to rid the program from the internet and bring things back to normal.
I won’t say any more on the plot in case you want to watch “Delete” for yourself and like I stated above, it is intriguing and a good storyline.
The most disappointing part of Delete was the filming. It has to be amongst the worst I have ever seen. Actually probably the worst. I didn’t mind the weird camera angles but the light that was constantly coming from all directions was, to say the least, ridiculous. Just about every scene was interrupted by some form of light source. To the point where I was getting a headache just trying to see what was happening in the scene. The actors were not in focus at times which also became very annoying.
I realize that the director was probably trying to do something different with the filming of the movie, but I’m still trying to figure out what that might be. Other people would probably like the way that this is done but, for me, well I like to watch a movie that is in focus and does not give me a headache while I’m watching it.
If it wasn’t for this, I would have given Delete 4 stars. But because the filming was so bad to me, unfortunately this brings it down to only 2 Stars.
Having said that, don’t take my word for it. If you’re into cyber crime and don’t mind the way the lighting was done, this would be a good movie to watch.
